I just wanted to check if anyone is running these tires on a there tow/highway rig.

My rig does take 500 mile trips with trailer a few times a year but mostly is used for elk hunting and getting through the colorado snow. Just looking into some tires that are not to costly.

Thanks

Wow

I have not seen these tires for many a year. I had a set of them on my 74 chevy 4x4 way back in the late 70's. I fourwheeled the heck out of them in the Missouri gumbo mud and they never once got me stuck. It does appear that they have changed the tread design a bit though from way back then. I never towed or ran heavy with them so cant speak to that. Of course a 30 year old tire review is probably pretty much worthless anyway.

Just to update i did purchase a set of 285/15/16 and am very impressed. I took the truck to my hunting area last weekend and without a dobt these things gripped. It helps to air down to 30psi but so far they are great. I have towed the goose neck with jeep and at 65psi felt no swaying or any issues. These do cause a bit more noise then your A/T's but with a 24v straight pipe i don't think the noise is that big of a deal to me. I will update if anyone want more info. Oh and i picked them up for $158 installed D rated.
