Anyone hear about this

Pellet stove purchase advice please.

For those that fall under the mandatory evacuation orders set to leave south texas they said on the news tonight that DFW is running out of hotel rooms. If at all possible you need to make reservations now. They also said that there will be a phone number on a texas dot board as you come into dallas that will allow people to call to get a hotel room.

My family had a really hard time finding a place in Austin. Did get a room, finally after someone else cancelled. I would suggest that wherever you plan on going, call ahead. even in far West Texas hotels are filling up.

Just talked to my buddy in rockport, he's packin up the house and trying to save as much as they can. My dad is also down there in Richmond, and plans on riding it out, so he can take care of the animals on the farm. :(

I'm sending Prayers to all those in the path and those that will be effected by Rita.

There is a lot of patience of the people leaving there. The car ride from Galveston to Houston is an hour. Then the ride from Houston to Huntsville was 10 hours.

Has anybody heard from Gitchesum or MDW? I sent Curtis an email, but no reply. I hope they evac'ed*OK, but don't know for sure.

RV Site Available -- Lexington, TX

Most people are probably already past me, but I have a covered area that will fit a decent 5er or TT, with full hookups (30A) water/septic out at my place. We're gonna get some wind and rain here but it's better than the parking lot on Hwy. 290. I'm working night shifts starting tonight until all the power is back on (Electric Coop) but if anyone is interested in getting off the roads, PM me and we'll hook up. I am expecting just a good dose of rain (which we need) and some moderate winds.

We made it to my uncles house in louisianna but we had big trouble on the way.

We broke an axle in the truck towing the 5th wheel trailer.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated as that was the only truck I have with a 5th wheel hitch.

We left the truck and trailer still attached on fm146 in Baytown. I hope it survives the storm and anything else. I need not only the truck towed to the shop in Texas City but the 5th wheel trailer too.

You can contact me at 281-960-3497 Michael

Having a hard time getting online.

Will be heading back tuesday morning. That is when we are told it will be ok to return.

I have no idea if its still on the side of the road or not.

Might still need help, don't know yet.

Mike,

Curtis called last night to let me know about your problem. Either you or Curtis call me at work (713-856-1614) or home (281-655-9659) if you still need the trailer moved. I have a friend in Dickinson who can probably pull the 5th wheel to Texas City for you, and if for some reason that doesn't work out, I'll be glad to do it after work - we started back this morning. I'm assuming that, with the truck broken down, we'll be able to get the 5th wheel unhitched from your truck.

Mike,

Give me a call when you're ready and I'll give you Jay's cell phone number. As I said, he's in Dickinson and can come up to Baytown and get your 5th wheel - you'll just need to work out a schedule that fits both of you as he works during the day. I hope your 5th wheel doesn't mind getting towed by a Duramax.

If, for some reason, you and Jay can't work out a schedule, let me know and I'll come across town after work and get the 5th wheel when you're ready to move it.

Rusty

Update: The trailer has been removed from the side of the road and none of the agency's can find it.

So, we will not need help removing it. Thanks for the offers.

We will be back in town tomorrow and if they still can't find it we will report it stolen.
