Husky Hitch Reinstall

I just purchased a 2010 Ram 2500 CTD CrewCab shortbed. I pulled the Husky 16K slider out of my 2004 CTD QuadCab with the intention of reinstalling it in the new truck. I read on another forum that the bedrails from the old hitch might need to be replaced.



Did Dodge widen the frame on the new trucks? If they did, I'll need new a new bed rail kit for the truck. If not I'll be able to use the old ones.

They Might work but I would double check before you start drilling holes

The rails should work, it is the frame brackets that are different. The 3rd gen trucks have boxed frame rails and require special mounting procedures and brackets.
