I did not know Nowel personally but he on more than one occasion was always gracious enough to help me with any issue I may have had, and I can say that I will miss his presence on here, and I wish all his family and friends all the best.

All I can say is, I'm sorry. Nowel had helped me out once with a post. I can't remember what it was, but I do remember HVAC responding. It must have been a good suggestion or comment for me to remember that it came from HVAC. I didn't know him personally, but it saddens me to lose a helpful member like Nowel. My condolences go out to Nowel's family and friends. Keep blowing smoke up there, Nowel!

Sincerely,

Joshua Jaynes

Sad day

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

May Nowel's soul be resting in Heaven an hour before the devil knows he is gone. I very much enjoyed reading his posts and will miss him. My heart felt sympathies to his family and friends.

I, too, never had the pleasure of meeting Nowell but more than once he helped me with advice. I will miss him. Why is it that the best ones seem to go first?

help with info on Nowel...

Hi guys,

I have no doubt that you have alot going on regarding Nowel Thomas right now... . but.....
I'd like to ask a favour.

As moderator in the 1st Gen Forum my guys and I are working on something for HVAC's memory.
Would you be able to pass along some examples/insights/outstanding deeds etc that you may know of regarding Nowel and his history in the diesel sport industry???

If you know of anyone else who may have something to contribute PLEASE, encourage them to send that info along to me at my personal home email.

Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. .

Nowell

I was shocked & saddened by this news . He was a true leader & great ambassador for our club. He was the man who got me going on the slippery slope of bombing, selling me my first goodies & giving me plenty of good advice on the phone & in person.

As many people have said , you always felt like you were the center of his attention wether you,d just met him or not, that is a rare thing to come by ,especially from a busy & sort after guy like Nowell.

My condolencies to his family & close friends & fellow rammers

I first "met" Nowel, over the phone of course, like most here, when he was giving out those magical boost elbows. I'm thinking "this is one heckuva nice guy to do this for folks". Man was I mistaken, he was one of the nicest, friendliest, most honest people to ever grace this planet with his presence. Yeah, he talked me into not just one of those mysterious black "PowerEdge" boxes, but to become a dealer. Of course the first one went on my truck, and he even directed people my way to help me sell some boxes while I was getting started. And I'm sure all of you Houston guys remember when the EZ Edge was first available - Nowel sent a couple of the first ones

down for us to try out!

My only regret, well two actually, is never having met Nowel and not keeping in touch recently. Nowel you were a great guy, friend, mentor, leader . . . may the rest of learn from you! Thank God for sharing you with us! My deepest sympathy and prayers go out for you and your family.

There is a big hole in a lot of hearts with Nowel’s passing. I know there’s a big hole in mine…

I remember the first time I saw Nowel’s handle “HVAC” and thought to myself what does Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning have to do with our trucks. It wasn’t very long at all before I understood that HVAC was synonymous with diesel performance. The acronym will never stand for the same thing again in my mind. I came to think it must stand for Highly Venerated Awesome Cummins. Nowel said nah; it’s High Velocity Accelerating Cummins!

Nowel was a big, big man. We will miss him.

May God have Mercy on His Soul

I read a lot of his posts, and could only dream of the things he was doing. Nothing I could say could add to this, especially at this time of year. I hope his untimely passing can help some of us try and get our affairs in order, as none of knows the time or place of our departure.

A sad day...

My heart felt sympathy to Nowel's family and also to those of you on the TDR who are fortunate to have been a close friend of his.

I was lucky enough to have met Nowel a couple of years ago when he drove down to Los Angeles County Raceway for the Toys for Tot's diesel drags. I remember thinking how odd it was for someone to drive all that way just to race a truck a few times and then have to drive all the way home. I also remember how all the other TDR members there were anxiously awaiting his arrival. After being around him for just a short while, and a few minutes of conversation with him, it all made sense. His passion for this was that evident.

Godspeed Nowel

It would be nice to have an HVAC sticker to put in our rear windows. We could make donations for our stickers. .

Sending condolences to his Sister.

Thanks for the great job in keeping us posted.

Like it was said above, Why is it, that is seems like the good go first. .

Thank You For Everything HVAC.
