Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) HX 35 Upgrade

Upgrading my hx35. Picked up a hx35 off a friend with at 16cm exhaust housing installed. Ordered the compressor wheel/housing upgrade. Anyone ever install the upgrade on a hx35? Heard I could have trouble getting the compressor wheel off. Looking for tip or trick on the install... Thanks

Ordered it from Gillet Diesel Service, inc Gillett Diesel Service, Inc. Home Page (60mm inducer Compressor Housing and Wheel combination. (HX Stage 2) ) It was around $200 + shipping. HTT was out of them and not sure when he'd get more. So i did a search on the net looking for an hx35 upgrade. This company had them in stock. Said they were genuine holset parts. So i guess i'll see what i end up with when the box comes in the mail.

I sent mine to HTT to have them do this exact upgrade. They seem to be quite the experts there. They were great to talk to on the phone. I'm sure if you email or call them, they'd be willing to answer your questions.

I've done three of these without any problems getting the compressor wheel off nor have I balanced them. Mines been going strong for 5ish years maybe 40,000 miles. The hardest part was not having oil sling out all over yourself when opening up the counterbore in the lathe... A 16 housing will probably be a bit doggy though.
