It was brought to my attention that you may be interested in a group purchase of HX 40 Turbos. If you are interested,let me know how many and what size housing (16 or 18) and I'll get you prices. We need a group of at least 10.

Remember this, Dave mentioned to me that one should not be cranking the boost over 45 pounds anyway. I just installed a new 50 pound gauge and my nameless copilot said we were doing 48 pounds on a hot lap. Be sure your waste gate is set for 45 pounds fellow turbo meisters #ad


Loretta, what do you have for traction on the street??? I need some Dave Mitchell ladder bars. This wheel spin in 4th has got to stop!!!
 
No ladder bars on the White Dodge. Personally I like the burn outs in 4th. If you are serious and want more traction, my Geolanders (directional) reduce my burn outs big time. Keep on Smokin.

Be sure the model HX40 you choose is compatible with our B engines, both fit and spool up. Piers tried several before finding the one that met the performance goals we set. Even then, it has to be reclocked and the wastegate linkage revised.

The downpipe needs to be very carefully bent and/or welded up to fit correctly. It is best to use a machined steel collar to fit to the turbo flange. You also need a stainless 4" band clamp.

If anyone prefers to get the turbo and above accessories from BD, contact me off-line and I'll see what kind of a deal they can give us for "quantity".

I'm not trying to start any wars with BD. Piers is a great guy and we are a dealer for them. I was approached about the group purchase, and agreed to set up a deal for TDR members. End of story.
Now to address the compatibility of the HX 40 on your 5. 9 Cummins. The HX 40 we sell is wastegated and is compatable with our application. Our down pipes do use a machined steel flange and the pipe is welded to conform to the Dodge truck application. We also special make down pipes for other applications, for example Freightliner. We also offer the V clamp that clamps the turbo flange to the down pipe flange. As far as the rest of the exhaust we offer 4" straight pipe, stainless flex, mufflers, etc. But, you may be better off to get those pieces at a local HD truck parts dealer (the shipping can be expensive).
