Let's see some numbers. Don't gimme none o' that "better, faster, cooler, mo' powerful" stuff.

Let's talk 1/4 mile times, dyno numbers, egt, CFM's, back pressures. Hard Numbers
Before and after the '40 on the same truck.

Go back to the HX40 thread on this forum. Also find my6eatsv8 post where he showed 372 hp before, 423 after if I recall correctly. The data are out there "between Maine and Cuba" right on this TDR forum.

If I recall without signs of alzheimers, Piers picked up in the neighborhood of 40 hp when he went from the 14HX35 to the 18. 5HX40. 380 to 420 or so. He had a significant drop in backpressure from 70 to 40 psi. I'm a believer, some of the folks who rode with me on Saturday at near 100 mph in 4th (had to slow down for the stop sign)could vouch for me #ad
The larger housing changed the point where boost is built, but when the boost hits, the tires leave #ad
