I have a 95 with 300 marine injectors high flow dvs 0 fuel plate, 15. 5 degree timing and a little shot of propane. Is a hx 50 to big for what i have right now? If it is what should run with now. Still got the stock turbo on and getting 42 pounds of boost out of it, i dont think it is going to hold up much longer.

Do an HX40. You'd have to push some serious amounts of fuel to make that the 50 even begin to spool.

I think the 40 will be too small. @ 42psi you're already in the red for a 40 but also for your head gasket! look into S300 variants like 62/65/14 and can up the compressor if need be later.

62mm will be great on there... I've run a 62/71-14 on my last two 98 12v's... 1:1 drive:boost at 48psi on my current setup. I've run it as high as 55psi. With stock injectors and only a 3k GSK, it was BELOW 1:1 at 55psi! :) needless to say EGT's were a non issue on that setup
