Thanks for the info. I had seen the sight but missed the part about the I6 and V8 engines. I am thinking about trying to build a set of twins with one.

It would be a good turbo for that. Spoolup similar to a HT3b but better airflow and higher pressure. The HT60 is the sister to that turbo, it rotates the opposite direction.

hey what turbo are you putting w/ that because id be interested to hear how it tuns out since i am looking to do that in the future w/ a 40/60 twin

Can find it on high horse N14 Cummins and Signature Series ISX Cummins. Most cores that you'll come across will have the older version, the HT60.

I am running a B-1 now, and from this chart http://www.tdr1.com/forums/showthre...turbo+cfm+chart I figured it would be a pretty big charger for me. Is an HT3B a holset charger? I had heard that the 60 spins the opposite of most chargers. Dont know if that will make a difference when mounting everything up. So, they come on N14s and some ISXs. I am gonna have some guys look for me at a truck salvage yard to see if they can find one for me. Will a stock one work ok, or will it need to be worked over? thanks for all the info.

My brother had a 40-60 setup from J. R. a few years back on his 2001, and oh my :--) . With the twins and J. R. 's nuclear nozzles they would spool so fast to 60 or 70psi you couldn't even watch the gauge. Way faster spoolup than my 40. I'm sure they would have built more boost but he never o-ringed his head so we never saw the full potential. EGT's from what I remember were very good also. Don't know about drive pressure.

Tool man, B-1/B-2 setup is supposed to be sweet from what i hear. Or even B-1/Big brother if theres enough fuel. Just costs a little more to get a B-2 or bbrother. Found losts of Holsets cheap.

tshort, I think J. R. s parts are great no doubt,Dlange is running a set from him i believe and its makin some power for sure. i'm just trying to save a little $$$ and try building a set myself.

well one thing ive always wondered is if anyone is running an hx 82/83 turbo i saw one during a tour of wyo tech in sacromento and man that thing was huge talk about moving some air it is by far the biggest turbo i have seen

Just the physical size of that hx80 or 82? would make it almost impossible to fit. Although I bet one of the mod class pullers such as Scheid's or Haisley might have something that big in their twins.

i've never saw one but i'm sure its huge. Just from seeing a ht3b and 4b, i thought those were huge, cant imagine what an 80/82 would be like. Plus the weight trying to wrestle that thing around in the engine compartment.

who makes that and what did it come on? what does it compare to?

HC5A is in the same class as the HX80 and HT3B Basicly can support a 19 litre engine  This is from the Thank you Gunracer1 post on diesel place

such a variety, hmmmmm which would be the best set up

According to the latest diesel power the turbo used on the DHRA Super Street Pulling Points Champion "Sled Pullers" truck was a HT-60. ;)

See how long this takes to get a response. :-laf
