Just curious. I just finished installing an HX-40 compressor housing and pinwheel on the front half of my HX-35. I know the HX-35 is good up to about 35 lbs of boost before it starts getting less efficient. Is the HX-40 the same, or is it more efficient at a little higher boost? TIA

Wondering... ... I have already installed the 14cm gated housing on the exhaust side. If I put the pinwheel and the larger compressor housing on my HX35 will I be asking for trouble?

After putting about 500 miles on it, I can tell you my smoke is down, my EGT's while cruising are down, boost is up a little, and power is up. I gained 34 hp and 120 ft/lbs on the same dyno, about 1 1/2 months later. I'm sure cooler weather was a factor. And nohing blew up, yet. :D My boost hit about 40. My EGT's did hit 1500 on the dyno, but I have a valet switch, and I don't run my truck hard all the time like that, anyway. I'd say it was a worthwhile mod.

I was talking to Amianthus, and he said what you did was make an HX 40 turbo out of a HX35. I will be doing the same thing, but probably adding a second turbo not long after! :D
