HX35 auto vs manual?

I was considering purchasing a HX35/12 from a fellow TDR member's 97 215hp 5-speed for my 96 180 hp auto. we are trying to figure out if the turbo's are the same? He has an HX35/12. Are they the same for all 2nd gen auto and manual?? Thanks for the help...
