At $300, buy all you can. A new 16cm housing is way over $400, list price is over $700. JUST FOR THE HOUSING! Used ones are hard to get but they are around...



A vendor sells HX40-16's for $1025 (not on sale) modified for more responsiveness. This same vendor will modify your turbo for $200...

Be careful buying used turbo's, I learned the hard way.

Sometimes its just better to spend the money for the new one!

I talked to Al. $200 is what they charged to modify my HX40-16. Bob, are you saying they charged you $400 to modify your HX35? Did it include R & R? Did they do something super special to yours?



Al quated me $175 to modify an HX-35. If what you're saying is accurate, the new HX35's they're selling modified for $600 would be costing them $200.

I'm just throwing this out there because I can't imagine cost on a 16cm housing for an HX40 is over $400.
