one of the guys at Piers

told me that they set the WG at 42 after that the turbo gets out of its Map width and dosent pump as cool air as it does below 42psi

I have a Piers "Modified" HX-40/16 which is currently on

my son's Dodge CTD.

When I purchased it from Piers he had already "pre-set"

the boost at 40lbs. and said that was a good safe setting

for them. We have run the turbo for almost six (6) months

now with no problems at all!! Piers' turbo performs very well

and has been reliable for many of the members including me.

Hope this has helped you.

My bone stock HX40 w/16 cm^2 housing I got from the guys at Diesel Dynamics is wastegated at 43#'s. Had that turbo for just over one year now. I rarely get it over 20 #'s, except when drag racing, then it gets pegged :D
