My HX40 with a 16cm housing spools up around 1700 RPM's. I'm going to start pulling a travel trailer and was wondering if a 14cm or 12cm housing would bring the spool up down to about 1400 RPM's? I know the EGT's will go up a bit, but I need more low-end grunt! Which housing will get my spool up down to equal the HX35 12cm I took off?

Anyone have a 12 or 14cm housing for a HX40 they would like to sell?

Time For PROPANE!!!

The 12 & 14 housings don't fit the HX40. Some hybriding has been done though. Contact Kwikkurt.

He's got someone doing the machine work to run a 14 on a HX40.

OK Nowel, I'll bite

Propane!

I have debated this one a lot. My neighbor with his 97 PS Ford went to it as the lowest cost performance mod. (we'll get his downpipe fixed in the near future. )

What are the advantages of a -35 with a 14 or 16 cm² turbine copared to a -40 with a 12 or 14 cm² housing?

Will propane fix Big Bob's low end problem and still give him the high en punch of the -40?

?
