I vaguely remember that someone on this site was investigating the possibility of housing upgrades for the HY35 turbo. Anyone have any news on this yet?

Anyone have a low hour HX35 that they want to depart with?

Steve

zman, We are still testing and will post as soon as things are wraped up!

Joe Donnelly has an excellent write up on the HX35-40 option in the latest TDR. Issue 29 starting on page 30 of the Tecnical Topics section. The HX35-40 info. is on page 34. He and BD have been down this road with thier race truck.

Not much difference between the the HX35W and the HY35W according to Mark at TST Products. I had a long conversation with him regarding swapping in a HX to replace the HY on my truck. Mark sells HX replacements. He was willing to sell me a replacement at a very good price. He talked me out of buying one. He didn't think it was worth the money.

If you live above 5000 feet or spend a lot of time there or plan on BOMB'ing your truck it might be worth the money to keep your EGT's down a little.
