Want to test drive an aftermarket transmission in Calif.

Does anyone know how the fuel consumption curve shifts along the RPM scale when you change from an H1C to an HY35W? I'm thinking about bolting on an HY35W to a 4BT engine and want to position my 5th gear and no load road speed at the best economy point (rpm) of the fuel curve.

The best economy point is about 1600rpm for the cpl 858 using the factory equiped H1C (I believe).
