Today I noticed the frame behind the front tire was wet. Upon further inspection I found brake fuild leaking from between the brake fluid reservior ( master cylinder ) and the hydraulic booster. I see about three bolts in the area of the leak and was wondering if there is a seal or o-ring between the two or does the whole thing need replaced? Does the reservior seperate from the hydraulic booster? My factory service manual is a little fuzzy on this. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Scott

Sure, there's a seal around the plunger going into the master cylinder. And it can leak. The good news is that a new MC is a lot cheaper than a new hydroboost. Are both halves of your reservoir losing brake fluid or just one? Don't let it get too low or wait too long to fix it.

SRath,

The leak is denitely where the two parts meet that's where I felt the majority of fluid. I can't see or feel any other leaks.
