Archived hydro boost replacement question

Hi, I am replacing my hydo boost on my 2001 TD and can't seem to figure out the little clip that retains the pushrod to the brake pedal. Looks like a simple clip but I know there is a trick. Thanks for any help

It goes on a little different than it looks. If you take the clip between your left thumb and index finger and take the head of a 16 penny nail and try to slip the nail head into the clip, you will see how it goes over the rod and locks into place.
