odd one.... subaru diesel conversion....

12 valve gmc conversion

From the chevy hydroboost, what goes where? Someone said something about a T in the return line. I'm trying to figure out where to put my storage tank for the power steerng fluid and all of the plumbing for that as well. Thanks

Mine goes from the power steering pump, to the hydraboost, out the hydraboost, to the steering box, with a return from the steering box and hydraboost. If you only have one return input on the pump, I don't see why you couldn't t them together. I loaded a couple pictures if it helps any. _Nicholas

my expeirence on putting a tee in the returnline is that you have a few weirdnesses. First off when you turn the tires and apply the brakes the steering wheel pulses in your hands almost a slight pull everytime you apply the brakes and when you turn you feel the brake pedal move up slighly occasionaslly. my experience is that you need to braze a fitting in the resovior and that way the fluid doesent try to backfeed through the return line. try the tee and see what you think. gm had two ports for a reason.

Hydroboost plumbing questions ?????

Just " T" the return lines yo have no issues with the steering pump

or resevor the only thing the 3 rd line was for on the GM steering set up was for a power steering cooler set up only .

If you get a shudder when turning you probally have air in the system or its low on fluid

On the brake pulsation that is from the rear anti lock i get that on occasion on my 92 dodge gen 1 truck .

Anouther option if you want to hassel with doing it pull the tank off the dodge unit and install the gm tank it will fit .

But for a $3. 00 fitting and hose clamps ill just T mine

does the T go to the resovoir? I'm not completely sure where everything goes. The resovoir that I have has an internal filter in it and I'm not sure how to plumb it. It has 2 inlets and one outlet? Thanks fo all of the help. It's cool to know that all I have to do is put up a post and I can get the help that I need.

Hydroboost plumbing questions ?????

The " T" goes on your return lines , the lines with no high pressure crimps or fittings on the hoses that need a hose clamp put a "T" on those ywo hoses then to your tank and your done 5 minute job tops

DVolk, You've helped me out a few times!!! Thanks for taking the time to put those pics together for me Nick. It's a good feeling to know that all I have to do is put up a post and wait for the help to come in.
