Kelvin from PSC puts it this way, Port closest to driver goes on driver's side of ram if ram is in front of the axle.
When I got it all together it didn't work.

All new components, bled it lots, let it sit for a week percolating bubbles, turned the wheels lock to lock 20+ times. No power assist.
Talked to Kelvin and he told me to rev it to 3500 and try it again. Airlock somewhere or stuck pump vanes were possibilities on his list. Well I didn't go over 3k but it started to help. It then worked if I held pressure on the wheel after a few seconds. It would feel like something would give in the box and then I had all the power assist I could want. It would then stick and I would have to do it all again. Then the problem went away. It looks like I did have an airlock problem and use fixed it.
I like having a remote reservior up by the radiator for ease of filling too.
I hope this cylinder will take some of the stress from the frame where the box is bolted on and has been rewelded twice.

Thanks for the mounting tips Mark. Mine is in a prototype position right now. My axle had a flange like a shock mount sticking forward between the drivers spring and the knuckle. I put a bolt with a cut down shock bushing through that flange right into the threaded female end of the ram body. The extending ram is then Heimed to bracket that is ubolted to the tierod. If it works alright I will weld some stuff on. The question is on the drivers side where I don't have a Heim joint. There is just a tad of play with the bushing so the bolt can wobble side to side as the ram extends. The ram is really close to parallel to the tierod so there isn't much wobble anyway. The experiment continues.
