Attention: TDR Forum Junkies TRAVELERS ADVISORY: For what it worth... Interstate 70 is closed west of Denver at Vail due to a sinkhole from all the mountain runoff. Travelers are advised to take routes south of Copper Mountain and Minturn through Leadville. About an extra 55 miles. Colorado road conditions can be reached at: 303. 639. 1111. Both lanes are expected to be closed any where from 3- 7 days.
UPDATE: 4 June 03- 1 lane open each way with 35 mph limit. Vehicles over 12 feet wide are asked to still use alternate routes.
I've been listening to the radio, and there are periodic closures throughout the day as needed.
