I almost lost my truck!

Went shopping in a town 25 miles south on Interstate yesterday. I let the wife drive the CTD on the interstate for the first time. I wish I had had a camera when she started up the freeway ramp! When she hit 4th gear, put her foot down, and felt the turbo kick in, the look on her face was priceless. It was kind of followed by:--) . By the time she got through 5th and into 6, it wasOo. A few miles later, I pointed out that it was not necessary to cruise at 85. She loves it!! Every morning she leaves for work before I do, and I half way expect to see the Toyota still in the driveway when it is my turn to go to work.

Bettah watch out! Jodi said are we going to buy that big of a truck? After the first time she drove it, she is now looking for a 2500 for her "personal rig".

Well atleast it is not a new diamond.

Every time my wife drives the truck, she always tells me I'm lucky its a dually, instead of a shortbed srw, or I'd be driving the ole Cherokee all the time!

After installing the DD2's, my wife Sandy wanted to take the truck out for a test run. Upon nailing it at 1900 RPM in 4th, her eyes got wider in direct proportion to the boost gauge jumping up to 33-34 PSIG! Her non-mechanical evaluation: "This thing feels like it just wants to pick up the front end and go. I feel like I'm having to hold it back all the time!"

My wife rarely drives the truck but the first time after we had had it for about year she took it on a 500 mile road trip as her car was in the shop. The very first thing I heard when she got home even before hello was "now I know why you love that truck". Since then all the ribbing about me and the truck have stopped. We would have two of them if they weren't so big.
