With my new 2006 mega-cab 2500. In my opinion its smoother riding, and the power delivery from the CTD seems to be more linear. I drove it home last night and my overall feeling was that i am glad i got it. I dont think Ill miss my 05. So if your waiting for one, its worth it, mine took 10 weeks to get here from mexico and its a beautiful rig, once i get off the crutches ill get some pictures posted

I have said the same thing about my Mega-Cab. It runs incredibly well, but they dyno charts are almost an exact copy of our 2005 truck?



I also think it rides and drives sooooo much better than my 2005. Maybe my 2005 is a junker?

The Megacabs have different shocks and I believe the suspension is also tuned a little different. I can't believe the difference in ride between it and my 06 Quadcab.

Or maybe it's not. The MC weighs a little more than a QC LWB. Published curb weight of a MC CTD is 7315lbs with 48re.



There is more weight on the front axles, so I think that smooths out the front. Most of us that have bought MC's were previous owners of QC SWB's, so the extra wheelbase is also making the ride seem smoother.

Most likely the heavier cab on softer cab mounts provides better isolation. Do these have fluid filled mounts?

Love the truck, but the front shocks seem too soft. I would love to go back to the old seats. Maybe they will feel better after breaking in some. You will love the Park alarm I am sure.

Hey Towpro, your centramatics really made a diff? do you have stock tires I have the bfg"s do you think it would make a diff with those too?
