I was playing around with one of the work trucks and found out that I could raise the idle by turning the cruise on, and hitting set a whole bunch of times. The work trucks have cats in them, but I am wondering if this works with all electronic engines. Has anyone tried this?

I've had the cruise on and took it out of gear, and it sped up and wanted to keep going to maintain the speed, but being out of gear it basically went to redline. It won't work though because the speedo has to read 35 mph or over, so at a stand still it won't. I'll try again but I am sure it won't.

The Cummins computer for the ISC and other engines also have an adjustable idle. Some are by the cruise control switches and others have an idle speed switch on the dash. The computer used by dodge doesn't support the feature.
