Just kidding!!!!! Would never own one. Only way I would drive one is if #1, it wasn't mine and had a chance/company truck. Or #2, I was given one, the only time I would drive it is to the dealer to sell it

that is assuming the turbo doesn't die from contaminated oil before you get there. Better haul it on a trailer.

I'm in one every work day, have a company truck 04 one ton crew cab flatbed with the 6. 0, auto trans, 145 gal aux diesel fuel tank, an 15K on the clock. So far no problems, an it gets a whole lot of idle time. Got the truck new in July 04. One thing about it is I get to test it out, with no money out of my pocket, not trying to abuse it, well idle time can't count that one :-laf, but what I mean is playing "Dukes of Hazzard" with it trying to tear it up. It's a work truck. We'll see how it last with four different guys driving it. Our 94 lasted us 10 years an 182K, then our shop stuck a new motor in since it was being sent to another department. It was still running, but getting awful weak.



We also have a few 03 6. 0 that are doing fine also.



I still like the Cummins a lot better though. I do believe the longevity of the Cummins is #1 in my book, thats why I bought one for myself.

my step dads first 6. 0 didnt last very long. 12,000 miles and already had another engine in it due to a bad turbo. he bought another one there shortly after and has not had any problems since.

The last 2 6. 0 owners I talked to-1 was starting the process to have his bought back due to fuel system problems and poor fuel mileage. The other put his up for sale, did'nt think it would hold up using it doing hotshot. He also just got a 05 Dodge w/6 speed to do hotshot with.

Two of my friends are both on their second 6. 0's. Two buybacks 04 & 03, both now in 05's, so far so good. Only time will tell.

Exactly my point! Wanted to see how many people I could get to read about a scenario that will never happen
