I never here much about Mack trucks on this board ... why?

Im still game. I dont say it lessin I mean it. I will have a start off with you. I called you out. You gonna make claims that you can run with viscous fluid. I believe you to be mistaken. Im game. I will even wager 500 dollars. Mine starts before yours. If your uncomfortable at a -10 pour point. We can make accomidations to get it a little closer. I have the interest of the local bomb club. We dont have to let it run or load it. Just see who gets it runnin first. [url]http://forums.thedieselstop....mber=1467754&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=7&vc=1

That was funny. L O N G but funny.

Starts out trying to confirm if the PSD was a warmed over gasser engine, and ends up an injecor/glow plug argument.

You can't argue with that guy...

... Gooch,I mean,he's one of those almighty,all-knowing,super engineer types that think if you don't have a degree you don't know what you are talking about. You guys know what B. S. ,M. A. ,and P. H. D. stand for don't you... B#LL **#T,MORE ADDED,PILED HIGHER and DEEPER:rolleyes: :) ... Doug

Holy......

I do believe if the gooch ever had a woman:

1. if it wasn't in a book, he wouldn't know what to do... .

2. she'd run away quicker than a PSD in the 1/4 mile.....

3. he'd lose his mind.

I give gooch credit. He appears intelligent and educated. He just sees to fine a field of vision. Too focussed on the little details. Misses the broader picture.

Gotta love him though. He does love the PSD. Any manufacturer is lucky to have such a staunch advocate. Especially when he can warm over those who cant see through the spin.

Id take a PSD if I had to. I dont hate them. They are good engines. I have never intentionally bought a v8. I prize reliability over hp. Thats why I own a diesel. Not only a diesel but a masterfully designed I-6. I tried to acquire a PSD this spring but the dealership though I looked like a sheep to the schearing. Not I. Been down that road more than once.

I currently own 3 I-6s ,2 v8s(not including my marine 302), and two v6. One is the good ole 231. My v8 stable has grown the last few months(I bought both of them recently). I just sold my 4th I 6 a few months back. Ford 300 good engine. Truck had been overloaded most its life. It was a little rough around the edges.
