2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission I can't see..

I can't see how the lock mechanism works on the trailer brake controller connector due to it's location. Since I didn't install the brake controller, I don't know how the lock is constructed. It doesn't appear to just pull apart with the finger holds on the plug.



There appears to be a tab on 'top' of the plug that holds the plug to the receptical. I started to pry it away from the shell but decided to check with you guys before I break something I didn't want to break.



Any insite will be greatly appreciated.

It's a clip...just press -n- pull

It's a clip... just press and pull. Took my brake controller out of my 2500 before I traded it and installed it on my 3500.

Knew someone here had been there and done this.



If I got it right, press on the receptical side to lift the tab holding the plug in. 3



The way the doggone thing is mounted up in there it's tough to see how it moves even with my spec's on and a good light.
