After a year of careful consideration of the Cummins, Powerstroke, & Duramax I have made my choice and it is a Cummins!

Picking it up on Thursday (Can't wait). It is a 2500 Quad Cab with 48RE trans. Graphite Metallic with taupe interior. Trailer Tow Pkg, Fold Flat rear storage, Trailer Tow mirrors, "RAZ" radio with CD/Cassette, and several other minor options.

It'been a long time since I have had a decent vehicle!

Congratulations... MadMike

You made an excellent choice. I considered all the above too, and guess what. We are smarter than we look. You will be impressed with the lowend torque.

Good luck!!

WOOHOO!! Congrats on your new baby!! All of my buddies have either powerstrokes or duramax. They all of course tried to talk me into their brands when I decided on a diesel. I was way outnumbered after making my decision to get my first Cummins... . and to this day... . I'M PROUD OF IT :D No truck is perfect, but I hope you end up as happy with yours as I am with mine (this is my 2nd one).

Congrats Mike, if you were impressed during the test drive then your gonna be thrilled after 5 or 10k miles are on it and it's somewhat broken in. They just keep running better and better!

Welcome and Congrats!

I just picked mine up last week and I have to say I am very happy with my decision! This board totally rocks and it actually helped me make my decision.

Enjoy, if you are like me, you'll find yourself looking for excuses to take the new rig for rides.

Yes sir. I got my 04 in late October and have put 5k miles on it, and it seems to run better each time I take it out. It's SOP noticeably better than when it was new - engine and trans. . I still haven't put a heavy load behind it yet, so there is still break in to go. I also get a smile every time and come up with ridiculous errands and 'long-ways' as an excuse for more drive time in the new truck! Love it! You will too Mike!

I finally ordered mine

[

I just ordered my truck yesterday. It's a 3500 4x2 DRW LWB Laramie

Pkg. 4. 10, anti-slip, tow group, tow mirrors, heated front seats,

GPS navigational radio, side-curtain air bags, deep molten red

with dark slate interior. This will be my second Cummins. I current

ly have a 1999 2500 Slt Laramie loaded including a BD exhaust

brake and power chip. I just read another post that said only

8000 trucks are being built in the first quarter. Hope I got my or-

der in on time. I pull a 13000 lb. Jayco Designer 5th Wheel. I can hardly wait for our first trip. As soon as the truck comes in I need

to get the bed liner sprayed ( had Rhino in my 2500 ), running boards and roll top cover. I removed the XM radio from my truck.

I'm also in the process of removing my hitch. I'll miss my 3/4 ton

but I'm really excited about taking delivery on this.

Man it is going to be a long wait until 10:00 AM tommorrow!

I dont know if I can stand it. Maybe a few beers or some wine will calm me down and put me to sleep. (Or should I just go for the Weller?)

Later,

MadMike

It was only in October, so I remember it well. I couldn't stand it either. Have a beer and get to sleep, you'll be in your truck before you know it! Congrats!!
