Well I finally did it. I broke down and bought a 24V. The '96 has been a great unit and I haven't had a lick of trouble, other than the occasional problem expected out of a 6 yr old unit. It really makes me sad to have to part with her. :( But I know she will be in good hands and I'll get to visit on her once or twice per month at the ranch. :)

Here is the problem. I need to get the new truck trimmed out. I will evenutally start bombing, I have a chip from the previous owner, but I need to install a few key goodies. Any ideas on what type of gauges to install? Here are the requirements: 1) All gauges must match. 2) The new gauges need to look similar to the stock gauges when lit 3) easy to read 4) trouble free.

I figure I am going to have to rethink where to mount all the gauges. The '96 seemed to have more room for all that good stuff. Any comments on the A-Pillar mounts and dash mount gauge pods? These are the gauges I will be installing: EGT, Boost, Engine Oil Temp, Aux Fuel Tank Level, Fuel PSI gauge(possibly 2 of these), hour meter, Rear Diff Temp, and maybe one more. I need it too look slick. I have to haul clients in this truck once in a while. Also keep in mind that I need room for a cell phone cradle, CB, 2 way high band, and switches for gadgets. Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of their ride they can send me? By the way. The muffler comes off this morning, the running boards go on, and the aux fuel tank goes in.

Thanks,

Des

Have you considered looking for a different website, like, one for interior designers for Boeing or McDonald Douglass?:p :D :D This one is going to take ALOT of thought. Good Luck and be sure to share the results. :)

If you need that many gauges it looks like you're going to need a 3-pod A pillar and a 3-pod center dash mount. Alot of wiring but it would look good.

Piers kinda had the same thing going on with his truck, but he didn't have gauges each doing different things. He had a 2-pod A pillar and a 3-pod dash mount just so his customers could sit in the driver seat and look at the difference for themselves to decide where they wanted their gauges mounted.
