After 12 years or so. the Tire Pressure Monitor System on my 2008 has an issue! But I am not complaining I like what it is doing so, far!
Let me explain! I needed to replace the Napa batteries in my truck after 8 years of use. They had not failed yet but after 8 years, I did not want to chance it when pulling my trailer. So, I disconnected the old batteries and replaced them with new Napa Batteries. When I took the old batteries back for the core charge refund, I notice something strange. The under inflated tire symbol did not display and the system did not ding! The low tire air pressure button (early 3rd gen trucks) was lit-up! I drove for an additional 30 mins had to do some chores, no change even started and stop the truck. Going into several different stores!
But what is strange my summer tires and rims do not have any TPMS sensors mounted in them. Been running my summer tires like this for 5 years. Always in the past I would get four dings and the idiot light would turn on!
