I did some checking and counting on the way to work yesterday. It is only 8. 3 miles from home to work, but in those few miles I go through 29 stopsigns or stoplights :--) I just get 'er wound up then have to shut 'er down again. :{

Must be nice... at least your truck might warm up 2. 6 Miles Home to Work. That a mileage killer... . But I'm working on it... Beta testing a Mileage Device. Results later... .

I'm similar..... 2. 7 and 5 stop signs and one light. I do try and warm it up at least 2 or three times a week by driving. I tow normally once or twice a week(fishing).

Apr 15th I'll be giving the "mileage box" it's big test. VA to W. NY and back again one way OFF/one way ON Hand calc... . Should prove interesting as it's a custom programmed box. I'm really looking forward to it. So far it's worked pretty good, but haven't filled the tank yet :-laf More to come later.

I drive 80 miles to work. That must be why my mileage rocks. Too bad it costs me $16 to get to and from work and I have to fill up every other day. :(

I'm with you brother longer runs do generate better milage but other factors are to be concidered, whether you're sporting a topper or bigger tires, winter conditions,summer I have kept track of my milage since new in 95 on my 2500 L/B LWB ext cab and it has ranged from 21mpg new to 19. 3 during summer but in the winter I go down to 15. 7 this drop in mpg is also influenced by my warm up time
