I got a P202B code

Filled my DEF tank two days ago and today I got CEL with a OBD Code P202B - Reductant Tank Heater Control Circuit Low. Anybody got this before and what did you do to fix it?

I've not had the code, but searched it on the Internet. Others may have a better answer, but here is a link that addresses the problem generically. My take away and easiest to start is check connectors at your DEF tank and feeding it upstream. Clean, add dielectric grease, and see if it helps.

Trouble shooting helps if you have an OBDII scanner, programmer that you can clear codes.

Anyhoo, can't hurt to try.

Thanks Ron, I did order a scanner last night on Amazon, should be here tomorrow. Looks like I need to bring into the garage and check all the electrical connections. It’s a 2018 with 71k miles so I need to see if it’s covered under my extended warranty if it’s not something simple. Thanks again for the response and link.

You're welcome! Just an FYI: I'm starting to open, inspect, clean, and add dielectric grease to my electrical connections on my 2017 Ram 5500. Also same for body ground connections.

As an old communications technician in the USAF, we were aggressive with preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) on circuit connections.

I hope you did a good search before ordering, most Scanners are either crap or to expensive.
AlfaOBD would have been the way to go, just 50$ but as capable as wiTech.

I get that code everytime that it gets in the low 20's out. Basically the shop says the heater in the DEF tank is bad, and the fix is a new DEF pump. They quoted me $1600. This has been going on for several years. I just run with the MIL lamp lit all winter then clear the lamp come spring.

Dealers don't always fix things, they're more in the replacement business. You might try the advice I gave OP, might just work.
