I got my Scotty 2 today I wasnt to impressed with the install

Yeah I got it today and put it in and I wasnt real keen on the way it went in did you guys experience the same thing I didnt drill the hole in the firewall does that make it fit better, what did you guys use to drill the 4 and a half inch hole and one more I took my k&n out is it okay to use the cleaner and the oil do you think its the same I just hate to see it go to waste thanks alot for the input!!!!!!!

Scotty II

CBD, I installed one the other day. I allready had the hole from the first Scotty version(which I had removed because of the noise). It fits okay with the hole in the cowl but I was thinking it would be a booger without the hole, now I know.

I'm thinking of going with this setup as heat will become a problem in the near Future

More Scotty

Crafty, the hole is not that big of deal. The way you can fold the insulation back, it covers up the hole if you want it to, nobody would even know it was there.



Merrick, the noise seems about the same as the the first Scotty, maybe a little less. Many don't find the noise that annoying, and it really isn't. At my minor bombing level, I don't have a EGT problem so the Scotty isn't really needed, yet
