A short while ago I was backed up next to my house, unloading some firewood out of my truck.

A truck pulls into my driveway... . a blue first gen CTD.

So the owner comes over and starts to talk so we introduce each other.

He tells me he just bought his truck a month or so ago. Its an 89, 4x4 5spd.....

with 14,000 original miles!!!!!! :--)

Unbelievable is all I can say. This thing was as clean as the day it came off the assembly line. Been sitting in a garage in town, covered, and driven about 1000 miles a year by the original owner... . (who passed away and his family didn't want the truck).

So I guess the creampuffs are still out there. Gives me hope

Sorry but I don't buy it, no hundred thousand digit on our 89's..... 114K taken care of, not worked can look emmaculate

Well this is legit. Trust me. Original paint and stickers on the engine... still has the original tires. Tail light lenses are crystal clear. no surface rust on anyting I saw. That doesn't happen in New England if the vehicle has been driven very much. This is the real deal.

Daniel... of course I told him about TDR... . he's not a computer savy person... but I told him he better learn.

Drove out to enter my John Deere A into a show @ Waterloo IA. There was a guy there with a brand new John Deere Model 60. Yep, new. Never been used. Nearly fourty years old at that time and not been in the field yet.
