I hate dealers(ball joints)

I droped my 06 off to have the ball joints done since I have the extended warrenty and I just got a call from them saying they couldn't find anything wroung with them. I have been listening to them for about 2 months now rattling and banging and have first hand seen how much play they have. The dealer said they are with in spec,#@$%! this is the same dealer that said everything was fine and then upon my *** chewwing geeeee they found 3 injectors bad after they did a "30 mile test run" yet the ticket and my odometer only showed 3 miles since i had droped it off.

They have a crazy tollerance allowed from the factory spec. Mine had 1/4 of up and down movement that you could see by lifting the tire when the frame was on a jack.



They told me they were within the OEM spec, but i pushed and they changed them.

MA2LA ask then to put that on your repair order. That they or OK also at the same time tell them if you have a crash that you will show the repair order to your attorney. See if that will work

well the truck is also supposed to have the state inspection done by them so if they pass it with that much play I'll call the state troopers and have a little get together, the truck drives like crap right now and the noise is driving me nuts.

Check your steering output shaft / pitman arm. Mine was clunking / rattling and I thought it was BJ's. It was the output shaft from the steering box. I found it by hitting the piman arm with my hand. It was the offending noise alright. PSC Steering brace . . .

well before i could get to the dealer today they called to tell me they would go ahead and warranty the ball joints and the inner tierod end. He said he would show me the factory spec if i wanted. But i explain to him that although it is in spec it would fail state inspection to witch he agreed. I'm still not happy with it but it is better. the steering wheel was off center when I got it so I fixed that when i got home and found that a front shock was a little loose. but there other issuse that they "couldn't duplicate"
