This am I noticed a wet area under the front of my truck. Looked underneath and found what I think is diesel dripping off of an electrical connector at the front of the engine drivers side. I am not very mechanically inclined so was not able to trace it. Any thoughts? It is rather slow. :{ :{

Check the fuel filter can and drain tube, it is on the drivers side, that's the first thing I would check. The fuel filter can has a yellow drain lever on it, this may be slightly open and may only need to be shut all the way. Also check the injector line connections, they are also on the drivers side. Hope it's nothing too bad, good luck.

Another thing that I would make sure of is that you not reuse the same fuel filter ring from the old fuel filter when you install the new one. The new fuel filter will come with a new o-ring gasket. If you don't replace the gasket with the filter, then that will cause a leak. Happened to me with my 24V '01

DieselDan - It is most likely the High Pressure Line right at the rear of the CP3 pump. Have your dealer re-tighten this, and don't check with your hand. The fuel can leak out as a very, very fine stream and soaks the ECM connectors, it will ruin those connectors.

This is very awkward to reach and if you slip and kink the line, you bought it, so get your dealer to do this one. Sometimes the line needs to be replaced as the swage on the line itself is cracked.

I had a similar problem, when I went to hook my TST to my cam sensor, it was soaked with fuel... but I never did anything about it, and now it stays dry :confused:

hmmm, whatever

Thanks for the input. I had to go out of town for the week so when I get back, I will contact the dealer. This forum is awesome! It is starting to run rougher upon start up. I have had the TSB done and at first it was starting better then before the TSB. Could the rough startup and the leak be related?

I had a leak that was around the front of the bed/rear of the cab. I check the entire line forward and finally discovered it was from my fuel filter gasket. It was following the lines all the way back.
