I just got a boost guage and Pyrometer, still waiting on the tack.

Where do I Intall the boost line on my 91? I see where there is a plug behind the metal bracket that hold the throtle cable and dip stick. Is this the only place to hook into?

Anyone got any pictures of there pyro. boost gauge install

Thanks

Mike

Thank You Sir Ram

That's the same place I'm Looking at putting my boost gauge. Mine has a metal piece in frount of it though. That two gauge holder you have on your piller, Would that work on my truck? Where did you get it?

Mike

What you have there, Mike, is the base trim level. Mine's an LE (Limited Edition?). You can salvage a trim piece from a junkyard or perhaps from a kindly TDR member. The gauge pod came from Autometer via Geno's Garage and is made to mount to the plastic trim you see in my truck. You might just do a dash pod…?

I had the metal piece as well. I drilled a 7/8 hole thru it so I'd have room to install the fitting with a socket.

Well Mine now has a 1 1/2 Hole LoL Hey it's all I had,,,,,and it makes the fitting easy to get to.

Well Both the Boost and the Pyrometer are instaled, the highest the boost goes up to is 26, and the pyro was up to 1150 just getting on it hard, is this right?

running on level road @55 I have 5# boost and 950 on the pyrometer, is this ok?

Sounds normal for a non-intercooled truck.

Huh... wondering myself. Just got my boost gauge on, running 3# at 65mph flat level ground, and 20 lbs seems like max... '92, intercooled.
