Does anyone know if anyone makes fuel tanks to fit inside the fenders just ahead of the rear tires?

I have found a variance of $. 20 in price of fuel from town to town. I would like to take advantage of it.

Long bed only! Darn! At about $1,000 plus shipping plus the work to put it in, it'll take a good while to break even at 20 cents per gallon. I've looked at the cross bed tanks, but to increase range.

I'd be extremely shocked if you could find anyone that would make a fuel tank to go outside of the frame rails under the bed after the GM fuel tank lawsuit!

Wow a replacement tank that holds 60 gal. listed at that aero tank site - So that would be an extra 25 or so gal. capacity. That would increase my range an extra 400+ miles & get to keep the spare were it's at to boot..... coool

Sounds good to me.

Moterhead, Where did you find that price? I looked on that AEROTANKS site & I did not see any prices.

What ever you do not buy from aero tank. The quality is very poor and service non existant. I bought one of the replacement tanks and only one of the mounting brakets fit right. The rest had to be modified. The fuel sending mudule holes were the wrong size-too small and aparently split the grommets. They would not do anything. It always leaked around the mudule when more than half full. The DOT should put them out of business. Read some of the other acessories forums and you will find many others that have worse to say about them. I finally went back to stock tank. Will sell it cheap for second gen long bed.

Thanks for the heads up

If you wanted a flatbed, you could. You could mount a pair of 50 gal. saddle tanks off a medium duty truck.
