Blackstone and more money

Jetting for nitrous

I am just like everyone else, when it comes to paying for something and making sure you’re getting what you pay for. I just had a run in with DD just was asking if you could tell what you have and the reply I got back was not what I wanted to here. I run the injectors and they are fine but will not suggest any one else to run them from the answer I got from DD and the smart reply I got , he told me to look on the box and that’s what you got then hung up , what was that .

Proturbo,

I can't comment on DD, as I haven't dealt with them. But I know how you feel. Customer service is a huge part of business and a situation like this makes a big difference in how a company is promoted by its customers. They may make a great product, but now they are getting a bad review from you because they would not answer a simple question with respect.

Man that is surprising. I have dealt with DD several times and have not had anything like that. Sometimes they take a little longer than I would like to get back to me, but it has always been professional when they do.

Call out there and ask for Kieth, let him know what happened and that you are concerned.

Know how you feel. Im getting ready to do some Bombing and dont like getting lip from someone thats taking my money. Hell, thats my sons job. :D

Me Too!!

I like a little kiss when I hand someone a good chuck off money. I have talked to DD several times after spending over 4k with them and come away with a bad feeling. I'll find someone else in the future. They do supply good products but I don't like the attitude I get when calling for more possible upgrades ECT. JMHO

Problems go to the top!!!

Proturbo99... I agree with you 100%. I know everybody at DD personally, and I would suggest you speak to either Mark or Lawrence only , stating the facts, time, date, conversation etc. I'm sure either one will be able to answer your questions, and take whatever, action is necessary.

PROTURBO,

I understand how you feel. I got the same crap the other day from a certain vendor(won't name names). There is two people I highly recommend to you that will TREAT YOU RIGHT. Piers at PDR and Rod Snaith at Wildcat Diesel. They are very nice and helpful people and will go the extra mile to help you out. Give one of these gentlemen a call. They are a pleasure to deal with EVERYTIME. -Ray-

Thank you all

I wonder if they think they are the only people that make diesel performance. I agree that they make great products but come on be nice. They say you don’t have a second chance to make a first impression!!! Also you gain more business by work of moth and how people talk about you. I don’t like giving my money to a bunch of smart @$#’s. you do me right and I will do the same and that’s all I want. I think before I buy anymore parts from other than PDR, TST, and WILD CAT I will talk to them and see how they act and if it’s not up to standards then they don’t get my business. I really like pdr, wild cat and tst!!!

I think a lot depends on when you catch them. I've been in there and walked out with the impression that I was bothering them by asking questions rather than just forking out the cash and trusting them. I've also been in there when they've been extremely friendly and helpfull. Thankfully the latter has been more the norm.

Not making excuses but some mitigating circumstances may be:

- They are a fairly small operation and can get busy

- They are HQ'd in Vegas and Vegas is a serious money town. Me and my neighbor were talking about how both of us have been in there and seen new-to-diesel folks walk in the door ask "what they needed", scheduled an appointment/dropped 3-4k, and walked out in less time than we were in there asking piddly questions about air filters and such. Maybe a bit of human-nature conditioning here

- They do know their stuff, and reference above probably more folks than not just take what they say and press on; then there's us TDR members who want to know :D

None of the above are excuses for being treated rudely but as stated about I would email or PM Keith. Maybe you just caught them on a bad day when something frustrating was going on; then again it's your cash.

Good luck!

i've had the same problem with DD as well on several occasions. My best advise to u is to give Piers a call and order injectors from him. He sells DD and at a great price. DD's a good clean injector. Take it for what it's worth.

Proturbo you are not alone in the way you were treated. I bought my DD 4" exhaust and would not recommend them to anyone. Instructions were missing, hangers missing ,took 2 weeks to go from Vegas to Phoenix. Each time I would call to inquire about my order I was given the run-around. I should have bought my exhaust from Rip or anyone else for better customer service, better product ,but most of all better price. Try calling

about warranty.

I know human nature is a factor in everything in life, but my human nature doesn't like forking over 700 bucks for a set of injectors to somebody who may be having a bad day and/or no time for me and my questions. If they don't have a problem taking your money, than they shouldn't have a problem spending a bit of time with you and be courteous enough to be polite to you. I run a photography business and I don't get huffy or impatient with my customers, even if they are wearing my ass out with repetitive or dumb questions. I can complain to my wife or under my breath after they are gone. The customer doesn't need to hear any of that.

My only complaint is when I sent my box in for the Drag upgrade I asked them to check out my box. The number five led comes on as it pleases. It is off more than it is on. (both in power level 5 and sub level 5) I E-mailed Keith and he stated to add a note on the box when I send it in and he will replace it. They have no way to check the box out. I taped a note to the box and E-mailed Keith to let him know it was on the way. Well when the box arrived back at my house in two days (very speedy service) I was unhappy to find out that I received the same box with defective number five LED. Now it never comes on. On a good note the drag power is great. So I know the level is actually working.

Now I will be the first to say I did not ever mention this to anyone until seeing this thread. But I will take advantage of this to get an answer from anyone at DD why this was overlooked. All past service has been great.
