Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) I located a 98 12v

I'm not interested in this for me... just posting it if someone is looking for one.



Yesterday I drove out to Puyallup on a lead that some used car lot has 2 98 2500's. I went out to look at them and found that one of them is a 98 12 valve 5spd quadcab 2500 4x4 in a shortbed, color is all driftwood, fully loaded SLT(no leather), 3. 54 lim-slip. Great shape. Didn't catch the miles, but their asking price is $20,xxx.

Nice truck, I'm just not interested in a shortbed.

I saw a 94 std cab with a nice cap. Red with driftwood center. 10K asking price. Think it had 175K miles on it. Looked good for the miles.

I found mine on a lot a bit north of Denver in y2k. They had it on their web site inventory and I watched it for at least a month. Finally went to look at it and the sales guy told me they had it so long because most people wanted the long bed. At the time, I didn't know '98 12 valves were a hot item. I guess I just got lucky. It's was just what I wanted.
