Spent my twin turbo/cam/watermeth money.

Just bought a new toy! Finally found a motorcycle lift at a reasonable price. The kind that you ride up onto, not the cradle type. Harbor Freight (Yeah,I know. ) now has them for $399. They were on sale for $299, and I had a coupon for 20% off any single item. $251. 99! Cha-Ching! I been laying on the floor for WAAAAY too long! Lifts the scoot up 32 inches off the deck. The only critique I might offer is the latch/stop mechanism. It could be better thought out. A ratcheting, multiple position stop would be nicer, but other than that, it is a joy to use. It lifts the Electra Glide easily, so anything else ought to go even smoother. Now I can comfortably do the LOF routine, instead of groaning while I lie on the concrete. Sweeeeet !!!!!! Now I need a lift for the Dodge !!!! DK.

My CBR1000RR weighs about half that. That gives me a pretty good safety factor. Have to check that out. Hate crawlin' around on the concrete. :{

Harbor Freight got one of those? :-laf

I got the Craftsman lift on sale (no not the ride on kind) for $79 and love it, the Harbor Freight lift looked kinda cheesy at the wheel clamp too... glad it works for you!

I would agree that the wheel clamp is limp. But after listening to Big Paul Teutel tell the boys to use tie downs, I do. We are working on a better setup for that. At $700 + for a Handy, I had to go with Harbour. I just am real careful about cinching the FLHS down tight. DK

I have a hard time trusting a pair of Habor Frieght pliers... no way I'd trust a truck lift from them!

Roger that !! Once had one of thier engine stands bend at the head unit..... with a short block SBC on it!!!!!!!! :eek: Bent it like a pie tin !!!!

Yup.

That would be it. It sort of ticks me the way they(HF) have multiple prices. Our store here said $399 regularly,$299 on sale. That ad said $349 regular price. But for a modest cost ,it is sweet. Next job is the low mount HD factory/Lockhart oil cooler. Still arguing back & forth on using the thermostat or not. DK.

Watch the pins that attach the scissors part to the frame along the floor on the rear of the lift. Mine bent and pulled the whole table top off center so the table looked like it was bent pn the rear part. The pins pulled out of the frame.

You know a few harbor freight items are OK at Best, for some of the jobs we do. But as in most things, you really do get what you pay for. I would not want any of there general hand tools or things I would use on a daily basis.

I'm with you Nate. I don't buy anything at Harbor Freight. At least, not anymore.
