Seatle WA. To LA.

Put the camper on and went hunting last week. The animals and weather didn't want to work with me, but the truck, it just kept going and going...

It is so nice to have a vehicle that can go 600 miles on internal fuel and still carry all the gear I need. People talk about how an automatic is so nice for not having to shift, but with this truck and load I hardly have to shift.

So what does this have to do with anything, nothing, but hey sometimes you just have tell people you are happy... :-laf

Looks like you're about to have some fun.

FYI, I just upgraded 5 weeks ago from a Dodge v10 to an 06 Dodge CTD.

I liked my old truck. But this one is better.

Enjoy.

Oh that's just my dad wondering why he spent all those years with the camper on his Ford with a 460 :-{} . We were lucky to get 350 miles with that truck with full tanks.

He was very impressed, especially with the fact that on the highway I could set the cruise on in sixth gear and climb hills like nothing was there.

We were loaded for bear, even though we were hunting moose. The 4 wheelers haul a quarter moose much better than a packboard, I've done it both ways. Alas this trip it wasn't meant to be.

Missed a nice bull by about 10 seconds, he wouldn't give us a clear shot, then the weather closed in on us.

Oh well, at least we drove in comfort, and dad liked riding in the passenger seat for a change.

600 miles without stopping for fuel. Wish my truck got that.

I can 800 miles out of a tank if I'm empty, on the highway and I take it easy. That's not calculations, that's actual distance traveled. I've done it a number of times, and I never go under an 1/8 of a tank.

800 miles on 1 tank?? Is that a stock 32 gal. tank? I wish I could get 800 miles on one tank. I've gotten to the 600 plateau before, but that was empty doing about 68 mph on the interstate.

Stock tank, full to the brim. I don't have the fuel vent mod, but I always get the tank full to the neck, that way I fuel up less often and my calculations are more accurate.

I primarily use my truck for highway traveling, and the highest speed limit around here is 62MPH. One trip this summer I figured I could get 884 miles if I had let the tank go dry, not that I'd ever do that.
