Hey guys... you might all remember the Green Weenie that I used to have, well I had since bought an 02 and I may be getting a 1st gen again since I'm going back to school and moved back to Illinois.



Does anyone know of a really nice, clean, 5 speed (maybe even a DTT), regular cab 4x4 (preferably green) in the midwest area? I've been searching the web and the classifieds but maybe you guys know of some that are for sale locally?

I should've never left... I miss the weenie. :{ As nice as these newer trucks are, I miss the simplicity and the low cost of my first gen.

Unfortunately, "Clean first gen" and "Midwest" usually don't go together in the same sentence. What's ironic is that I've found a bunch of clean trucks up in the NW US, and I'm in IL. Bring one back! BTW, where in IL are you moving to? -Nick

I've got a green/tan two tone with DTT trans, 89% billet DTT TC. 4x4 LE extended cab. Camper shell. Repainted a couple of months ago. I put it in the classifieds just waiting for approval. I'm in VA but could deliever for the right price. *the truck is so good I'd drive it anywhere*

Sure, the weenie was nickel and diming me, but if I find a good one then hopefully it won't! The weenie was a retired construction rig and had a hard life before me...



If there are any in the northwest I'd go get one, I have to go back to Salmon soon anyways for a couple days.

Who would of thunk it, after all this time 'ol Bill has a higher post count than CB. In order to keep it that way, how about everyone start spreadin' the word not to sell your 1st gen! :-laf Otherwise, I'll never be able to post again, I'll be playin catch-up for days at a time.

A $15k 1st gen is gonna nickel and dime you almost as much as a $1500 1st gen. Good luck finding a 'nice' 4x4 under $6k.

I have a 1st gen i'll sell ya, i'm in the northwest too. you could even stop at DTT on the way back down through canada :-laf

Why are you set on a regular cab? I've never own a regular cab again after the 86 Yota I had.

I can't stand LWB especially around town. Besides, I think the 1g's look better with standard cabs.

Ironically, I have a 2wd dually that is otherwise identical to the Green Weenie. Slip a Dana 60 under the front, and you'd have the Weenie with a bubble butt You ought to get ahold of me and we can meet up sometime. What happened to getting married? Is your sugar momma single now? Or have you both moved back here? So many unanswered questions... .

Still gettin' married, we've both moved back. Why are you selling your truck???



I've put in for a few jobs... 14/hr working at the Target distribution center in De Kalb or maybe even more if I get hired on for maintenance... and for the local IBEW cutting trees for only 11/hr, or I can do concrete for more but not sure how much.



So it seems I may be OK for jobs.
