Hey guys,

I need to awaken the beast in my truck. Im dying here.

I had an edge comp in the old truck (loved it ) now i need a new one for the new truck. It is an auto quad 05

I am going to tell the story as it has happened thus far. When i get a good one ill tell it and a bad ill try to be nice

I talked to edge (guy was to knowlagable) GOTTA KNOW YOUR PRODUCT IN ORDER TO SELL IT. rIGHT?

I talked to quad (Stan was cool and seemed to kow a great of stuff (good man Stan)

I talked to tst (she was to helpful either)

Edge box claims 100hp

Quad 130 hp

TST 200hp?

are they bs-ing they all have said this is rear wheel too?

what are (all of you guysand gals) factual experiences

Anyone better than others for performance reasons ?

I want to make a good decision

i dont like wasting money and want to buy it once

oh yea 1 reason i did like the quad was i could pull the power box out and just have the guages in for warranty reasons . anyone else doing that? i was told the edge cant have the attitude with the juice

i dont know about tst but i am guessing i am going to have to put in another fuel pump for the tst if it makes that much power

I have a TST on my '03 it dyno'ed @ 399 hp. (stock turbo, stock fuel delivery). Stock I had 250 hp. the TST is Agressive in its fueling and needs a pusher pump and turbo to the use full potential, if you are going for high HP, the TST is the best IMHO. the TST is just like the EDGE in the fact that you lose the gauges if you take the box off. The Juice is supposedly smoother in its fuel delivery but it has lower HP. potential. It is rated @ 100HP but most see around 125hpfrom it. I won't use a downloader because I don't want to mess with the programming IN the ECM.

I have the power pup. Stock I dynoed 254/482, and on the extreme setting 374/745. The extreme setting will slip the stock transmission. The turbo is stock, also. The only issue I have with it, is a slight surge when the cruise is on.

As for the factual HP gains at the rear wheels, See my dyno page in my sig... and that is with a TST/EZ stack - I did 458 with stock turbo... about a 260hp gain total - and thats with a DPP fuel pump

And for buying it once, Thats why I went with the TST... More then enough when I was stock truck. Then it was there when I get my clutch and turbo...

For sure when you make that much power from ANY box, the pusher pump is needed

The quad box is a great product. The power is there, but you'll want a fuel pump to run 140hp setting. It takes about 15-20 minutes to install if you place the switch by the hood release. Real easy install, and no codes have been set.

The TST is king, and the box that I will get next. Install is a pain, as it connects to everything- Injectors, cam sensor, crank sensor, map sensor, etc. , but as Tomeygun says, it's more than enough with a stock truck.

I would stay away from the downloaders. If you have a grey key, the downloaders will set codes. Additionally, when you reload the "stock" program, you're not getting the true stock program, but one that was pre-programmed on the downloader itself.

If you don't mind the downloader idea, then the TST is a great stack with the Bullydog downloader. Over on DTR a lot of guys have this stack and love it. Apparently the BDDL provided the bottom end that the regular TST doesn't.
