I need a Cliff Notes/Alfa OBD for Dummies Source

I'm not totally inept but nearly so with some of this. I have the proper bypass cable on the way and I simply want to do basic things like speedo adjust, fogs with highs, etc..... Is there a beginner/novice/luddite source?

Check this forum out. Plenty of info in there. Also just post question and I'm sure someone will be able to help steer you in the right direction. AlfaOBD is a huge help with tweaking our trucks or just being able to read codes.

Here are two sources I used. Pretty straightforward. Problem with all these Alpha experts is that their so quick to post what they did but always fail to tell you HOW they did it. Alpha is not user intuitive and for some of these modifications, one needs to change one parameter, wait 10 minutes, go back in and change another. Rinse & repeat.

One important item to do first is to upload your current vehicle setting configuration to Google Docs so that if something goes sideways, you can figure out what settings were changed to revert back to factory. There are literally hundreds of settings and I don’t think it would be too much of a challenge to brick the BCM by willy nilly frogging around with Alpha.
