Hey guys, im finally fed up with the ****ty shifter on my getrag. it keeps loosening up and rattline like hell, i even double nutted the damn thing and put loctite. Anyone have a later replacement lever? i need the whole assembly, mine is just all rusty looking and full of visegrip and channel lock marks from the previous owner. any ideas anyone????

You could try the quick and cheap method the previous owner used on my truck. First break off factory lever, then loosely fit a 16" piece of 3/4 in water pipe over shifter stub. This will keep you from getting speeding tickets and also save fuel because you won't drive the truck much ! Just wanted to let you know others have been there.

Wish you luck.

Sounds like you have the two piece that leaves a stub that still won't allow you to get the transmission out without taking the stub out of the tower. Take the entire thing out and bolt it together then weld it. Put it back in the tower and reinstall the snap ring.

Cut the hump out so that you can get to the entire shifter assembly when you need to service the transmission.

Yep, a previous owner did this my shifter, welded it up, and also cut an access door in the floor to remove the top cover.
