I need a wide Power-slider rear window

I busted my rear window and want to replace it with a wide power-slider for access to my Lance camper. CRL has a narrow single pane window and Jackson has twin pane windows. But Jackson doesn't list one of the glue in type windows for the 3rd Gen truck. Any one found a window that will work?

When I blew out my rear window, all I could find was the crl window for our truck. Also several window installers around here didn't like them.

Maybe the new for '06 factory power sliding rear window will retrofit into the earlier 3rd gen trucks. Just be prepared to cough up some dough for it.

You mean the vertical slider on the Mega-cab? THAT would require considerable sheet metal work, relocating of seat brackets, and loss of rear seat legroom. I'll have to settle for a manual double slider.

I don't think your profile says if you have a Quad Cab, but I'll assume you do. When I ordered my 06 QC, a sideways sliding rear window was an option. You should be able to get a sliding rear window for your older QC. But I'd wonder if dealers could get that in stock this soon (no dealer in my area has extra keys for the 06 yet).

Now I'm going to have to enroll in Yoga and Gymnastics classes at the junior college to learn how to squeeze through a 14" window to get into my camper! By the way, I got it online for $411 and change including shipping. Didn't even ask DC what they wanted for it.

Isn't cruise control awesome these days? It allows us to do so many things other than drive. j/k!



Yoga may work for you, but going on the Slim Fast plan is required for me to fit through even the stock slider (I'd guess, I haven't tried).

There was an epside of "Pimp My Ride" on MTV that used a limo style rear window. The entire glass slid behind the seat of a standard cab S-10.
