Best Brake for the buck

Hey all... I have the 05 6sp with cr#p gearing... my 235/85/17 tires are too small... . what size can i go to (taller) that will work on my dually... . thanks, Garth... . at 70 MPH I am at 2400 RPM

I went with 265 70s. I am running 70 when my speedo says 72.

I still have about an inch between duals. I'll try to remember to see

the rpms and let you know.

Do you have any pictures with the 265s on it?

An extra 1"

Don't know the brand but check with them or another manafacturer the RPM of the tire this will tell you the difference in size. Mine were 5% bigger.

umm, he wants taller not shorter... .

for example you said your doing 70 when spedo says 72...

with my 315's and my spedo callibrated for 265's it says 70 while i am doing 76 on GPS...

the 235 85 17's are a TAD taller but narrower than the 265 70 17.

for the origonal poster, i dont have an answer for your question, but i am VERY happy with the power i still have in my dodge with a 35 inch tire and when i go to dually plan on some 34 inch tire height 19. 5's. higher weight rating and stability with lower RPM's than factory.

I may have it backward on my speed. The 265s measured 3/4 inch taller than the 235s.

The main thing I was going for was I already had the 265s and needed more traction than the straight tread 235s.
