I'm having a problem with the fuel on my 1992 ram 3500 It has 150.000 miles on it, It seems that the fuel flows back toward the tank when its not driven For a few days.
it cranks for quit awhile before it starts then runs out and cranks a lot Again before starting again. Is there a check valve somewhere that is not closing?
When it starts it smokes black but clears up rite away. If I keep driving off and on during the day it starts rite away.

cut the ends off the plastic lines my guess the engine side the O rings are bad get some rubber fuel lines and put over it then to your lift pump

There are O-rings in the push on fittings used on the inlet side. There is a push on fitting on the lift pump and the fuel tank module. Here is a link to the dorrman pages for fuel fittings. Just find the correct size line and replace the offending fitting.

Pressuize the fuel tank. Use low pressure around 5 PSI will do. The bad fitting will leak fuel.

NAPA and other wanna be parts stores sell dorman products or can get them.
