Since you have the bigger exhaust housing installed, and had the Ottomind... ... ... . you had the wastegate adjusted for the "extra" boost... correct? Meaning you see above 21 to 22psi? If you see more then that yes you will set an overboost code, and not sure how much you'll feel it but it will defuel once your above a certain level of boost for a certain amount of time, I had DDIII's when I ran without any electronics to see what would happen. Other then feeling the defuel and the code (no check engine light in my truck) being set it worked fine.

I am not sure of your kit. If you are pushing more than 26 psi, you will set an over boost code and your ECMwill start to defuel the engine. To bypass this, just get a potentiometer (sp?) (Volume control) from Radio Shack. A 20 K-ohm one should work. just put it in line between the MAP sensor and the ECM. This way, the ECM will not see accurate but a lower pressure and not defuel the engine. This is all that the fuel boxes do, only they charge a lot more for a $1. 50 piece of electronics.

Just my $0. 02

i can almost see 38 lb of boost so i will get a definate code but how were you on egt when you did not have the box

Before the box, I could hit almost 1300 deg pre turbo with a load uphill and mufflers. Get gages if you don't have them. With a box (Depending on which one you have) you could easily burn the exhaust valves or melt a piston. With a big comp box and not many other mods, you could easily pet 1800 or higher with out trying. :{

DDII's you'll be fine on EGT's. I was fine on DDIII's & HX35 w/12cm² housing. I don't remember the exact numbers but it wasn't anything of concern, I ran that way for about a week and half.

Might be a different story if you need to tow somethin heavy, I can only speak of running empty in my truck.
